The Ross's

Welcome to Top of the Rock Walking Tours. We are your host and hostess: David and Elizabeth Ross. Our family roots go back many generations in West Cork. We work a small farm here at the "Top of the Rock" where we raise beef cattle from a herd of 30 suckler cows. For many years we have been involved in pastoral, church and community work. We have five children, most of whom are working or studying in Ireland. We also have three grand children who love to come and visit the farm.

In our free time we like nothing more than to walk and explore the unspoilt beauty of West Cork, on foot, at our own pace, and in good company. In recent years we have been involved first-hand in the development of some of these walks. So we invite you, wherever you are, to join us in this unique and beautiful landscape for what we believe will be a very special walk.

Because we live at the Top of the Rock, our main concern is to help people who wish to complete the St Finbarr's Pilgrim Walk. We are very happy to advise you on how best you can undertake this two day pilgrim journey on your own or in a small group. We are also in a position to organize accommodation, guides, meals and transport if you wish to bring a group of 12 or more people.

On the OUR TOUR page you will find details of our planned St Finbarr's Pilgrim Path Tours. The dates are Easter 15-16th April and August 19-20th 2017. We may add other dates nearer the time depending on demand.

On the PLAN YOUR OWN page we have supplied all the details of how you can plan your own seven night walking week. Whichever you choose, you are welcome to our beautiful part of West Cork!
